The meeting took place on the 17th of September 2018 at the Grand Hotel Baia Verde, Catania and was hosted by CNR. Prof Grech highlighted progress made during the first four months. Mitigating actions were agreed upon when difficulties were encountered.
Dr Paul Refalo summarized outreach activities carried out during this period. Particular reference was made to the launch of the project.
Dr Alessandro Di Mauro from CNR and Dr Stephen Abela from the University of Malta discussed the progress in the synthesis of the photocatalytic surfaces. The results presented provided promising prospects in terms of the functionality of the surfaces. The design of the aging facilities was presented by Ing Ryan Xuereb and the aging protocol was discussed in detail. Ms Elizabeth Grech provided an overview of the administrative aspects of the project.
